If you want to add sweetener like agave, maple, cane sugar or honey. If adding honey please don’t add to scalding hot liquid. Wait till it’s cool enough to drink.
Spilanthes (pronounced spy-lan-these) is an excellent herb to know about in the winter months as it is used for enhancing the immune systems resistance to infections. In my opinion it is the most reliable herbal ally when it comes to protecting one from colds and the flu.
If you want you may also put above ingredients into the blender and “bullet” it. This will make the consistency more frothy like a latte. Because the Superhero confection is honey based please don’t add to scalding hot liquid. Wait till it’s cool enough to drink. This assures that the important enzymes in the raw honey are not damaged.
Ashwagandha (pronounced aash-waa-gone-da) is one of nature’s best adaptogenic herbs, helping humans cope with and adapt to the stress of modern living. It is also specific for balancing vata dosha.
Ashwagandha is in the Solanaceae family (commonly referred to as the Nightshade family). The Latin name is Withania somnifera. The somnifera refers to its ability to assist with sleep. Another common names for it is “Indian Ginseng” and an old fashioned, (likely British) name for it is Winter Cherry.
