Together we will…

Gather with kindred spirits at the Singing Springs apothecary and gardens for an immersive hands-on experience where we will explore age-old traditions of working with plants, transforming humble roots into powerful medicines.

Meet Five Magnificent Medicine Plants
Spend time deeply exploring five remarkable medicinal roots traditionally harvested in the autumn of their third through fifth years. We’ll sit with each plant, getting to know its history, traditional uses, energetics, and many gifts. Detailed herbal monographs will be provided for each plant so you can continue your study long after the workshop.

Make Offerings & Harvest Medicinal Roots
Enter into the rhythm of the season as we make offerings of gratitude to the herbs and harvest their precious roots. We’ll explore cultivation tips and best harvesting practices, along with storage and preservation techniques.

Make Herbal Medicines
Roll up your sleeves as we transform our harvested roots into a variety of traditional herbal preparations honing the art and craft of good medicine making.

A Day of Plant Magic & Hands-On Herbalism

Throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to sit with, sing to and harvest several botanicals working alongside Julie in the intimate setting of the Singing Springs Apothecary and gardens.

You’ll also learn various methods to process the herbs preparing them for winter storage, or making them directly into medicines that will support your wellness in the winter season ahead. You’ll take home a couple medicines you’ve made with your own hands, along with lots of herbal knowledge, inspiration, and a deeper connection to the plants.

Come spend an enchanted autumn day with the herbs, your herbal community and the October Full Moon energy.
