Elderberry Immune Elixir is an excellent ally during cold and flu season. It has numerous herbs that help address a variety of the commonly associated unpleasantries. The chief herb of the formula is Elderberries, which are rich in flavinoids, most notably the anthocyanins (which give them their black-purple color). Anthocyanins are known for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, that protect against oxidative stress. They are also wonderful for supporting immune function. Research suggests that anthocyanins can modulate the immune system, boosting the production of cytokines that regulate immune responses. Spilanthes and Echinacea, are two other herbs in this formula that work amazingly well in combination to boost immunity and help you to fight off bacterial and viral infections. Additionally, Boneset is included to relieve the achy body symptoms so common with the flu and other viruses. Ginger and Cinnamon are there to relieve nausea and stomach aches. Finally, Elder flowers are included to assist in reducing fevers. This formula is not for children under one year of age due to it having honey. However, it is completely safe for children older than one year and is our most palatable immune formula, making it most agreeable for kids.
